The Jurgens Family

We had a wonderful time today. 1st the kids and I watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV, while Chris watch the first game of the day. Then we all got ready and went to my sister-in-law Cassandra's house. The kids had fun playing with their cousins and see everyone. Hayliegh showed off her new talents.  It's always nice to have my family all together at one time. It makes it for a long day and a house full but a great day and plenty to be thankful for!

Hayliegh's dinner: mashed Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, greenbeans, turkey, homemade bread.

Needless to say, she LOVES IT!!!!

dont pay attention. It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is in the morning, and that Christmas is right around the corner. What is even more shocking to me is that my baby boy is turning 4 in about 19days. I remember being pregnant with him and everything. It seems like just yesterday that I was on bed rest and wishing that I could host Thanksgiving for my family. Looking at him you never think that he was only 6lbs 4oz and 18in when he was born. Now he is 44inches and 43lbs. wearing a size 6slim pants and a size 13 shoe.  Its amazing how time flys when you don't realize it.
Its also amazing to me that my baby girl is 10months old already. That she is getting ready to enjoy her first holiday season and everything that comes with it. She is now crawling everywhere and pulling herself up on everyone and everything. I'm sure that it wont be long until she is walking now. In 2 months she will no longer be a baby but a toddler. Scary!
And when I look back at when Chris and I first got together Jayna was Alec's age. She has really changed a lot since then. She is growing up so fast. She is almost halfway through Second Grade now and doing very well.
Do me a favor......
Stop and enjoy the time that you have with your family while you can. Don't let it fly by.

Well the day was full of fun and excitement. Grandma Jurgens flew into Portland in the morning. The plan was that we were going to go pick her up from the hut. But at 12 she showed up here and surprised us all. She decided to rent a car and drive down. Jeremy, Jenn, and Maeby came up for the evening. The kids were so excited to see everyone.
Jayna, Grandma and I went over to the church and went to the Trunker-Treat. It was fun. Jayna made sure to get some candy for Alec. (Who had just come down with a fever right before it was time to get ready.) When we got back to the house we had Padingtons Pizza for dinner. Then it was time to get ready to go out. By this time Alec's fever had broke. SO he was allowed to get ready and go. We had:
They had so much fun! Jeremy, Jenn, and Grandma all took turns taking Maeby up to houses. Grandma took turns with Hayliegh as well.
About halfway the kids got tired of holding their bags "they were heavy", so we had them dump their candy in the stroller basket. Then every time they got some candy they didn't want it in their bag they had to put in in the stroller. By the time we got home the basket was about half full. It's amazing how much candy they can get from just going a little bit. We don't even go the majority of the area where we live.
Halloween turned out to be a very long night that I am so glad is only once a year. But with that being said, it turned out to be a night full of fun and enjoyed by all.
