Hayliegh's "rubber boots"

So our niece Maeby loves her rubber boots, and when I say love I mean would rather wear them no matter what. Weather she is in a diaper and not going any where or if she is going to church and in a dress. She doesn't care she loves them and wants to wear them all the time.
Why do I start this entry with this you may wonder? Well Hayliegh has found a pair of shoes that she loves and wants to wear just as much as Mae does her rubber boots....
Hayliegh loves her knock off uggs.......

If I tell her to go get her shoes, she will always bring me these. I asked her to get me her sandals and she said no and brought me these.
On Saturday when it was 80 Degrees outside and she has a sun dress on she wanted to wear these... I let Chris fight with her about it. She gave in to her daddy after about 5mins, but wasn't happy about it. She LOVES these shoes!
and Yes this is her showing the camera her shoes!

The most amazing

Thing happened today during Sacrament, our Ward was blessed with the presence of ....

Elder Bednar of The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

and Elder Hafen of The First Quorum of the Seventy who is also our regional representative.

It was one of the most amazing experiences our little Ward may ever have. It got so quite when he walked into the chapel. You could feel the Spirit stronger then ever before. Even now hours later I still have butterflies in my stomach thinking about it.
Elder Bednar was in town this weekend meeting with all the Stake Presidents and Bishops Statewide, and their wives.  He apparently had a meeting in our building and had arrived about 20min early for his meeting and he and Elder Hafen decided to grace our Ward quickly before their meeting.
Elder Bednar bor his testimony that the church was true and of the Prophet. He also took a moment to bless all the boys and girls, and young men and young women in our ward that they may have a "spark of faith" and that no matter how evil the world seems and becomes that as long as they stay true to the Word and to God that they will be safe and everything will be okay.
We were truly blessed today and today will not be forgotten. For as I am writing on our blog my children are writing in their Journals or I will be here in a moment, along with Chris and I writing in ours.
Our Lord is AMAZING!!!

Back to School 2010

Today was Jayna's 1st day of 3rd grade!!!!! Where has time gone?

Oregon State Fair 2010

On Monday August 30th was Kid's Day at the State Fair. So our family went with Chris' brother and his family. The kids had a blast. I think the biggest thrill of the day was for Jayna. She is now tall enough to ride a few of the "Adult/Big kid" rides and boy did she. She got to ride the Dragon Boat (2times),  and the Octopus. She had such a blast. She also rode rides with Alec that he could ride. But he was finally tall enough to ride the Go Karts with mommy this year. Next year I am sure that they both will be able to ride the BIG rides with out any problems...now that's scary.

Family Vaction Part 3

August 19-21 we went camping on our way home at Lost Lake. Everyone sees it on the way over the pass before going up the hill to Sisters. Its about 30mins West of Sisters and about 1.5hours from here. We had a wonderful time. The kids got to fish, and catch frogs and just run and play. Its a great place to camp. We are thinking about planning another trip next year!
One of the really cool things the kids got to see, is a training helicopter with the water bucket come both mornings and get water out of the lake. It was really cool to watch.

Family Vaction Part 2

Kaneeta Part 2:

So while we were are Kaneeta we had a chance to attend a Tradtional Indian Salmon Bake.

After Dinner we got to watch several traditional Indian dances and the history behind each dance. The kids loved this so much. Their eyes never left the dancers:
